Frontline political activist and civic rights campaigner, Chief Patrick Eholor has appealed to the Senate to consider enabling legislations which he hopes will criminalize Sex for Marks and Police brutality. He is also asking the Upper chambers of the Federal Legislature for laws abolishing Admission and or Acceptance Fees in all Nigerian tertiary educational institutions.Chief Eholor, said he also believes that it will be in the public interest if the National Assembly passes a law which will make Voter’s Card a compulsory requirement for admission into all Nigerian tertiary Educational Institutions for students 18yrs & above.Chief Eholor said he wants the law against sex for marks to protect young girls who will become Mothers of the Nation from sexual harassment in tertiary Educational Institutions. On the law against Police Brutality of Citizens, he said it is necessary as there are such incidents leading to Fatality, Permanent Disability, Torture, Extortion, Unlawful Incarceration of the poor and innocent. He expressed hope that the National Assembly will be favourably disposed to the new legislations he has proposed adding that it will help in making Nigeria a better and greater country.
