Former Secretary to Edo state government and frontline APC gubernatorial aspirant, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu on Tuesday described as unfortunate the attempt by some people to pull down the APC National chairman Comrade Adams Oshiomhole.
Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu who was speaking after the group, Safe Edo Movement called him out to run for office of Edo state governor come September 2020 in Benin City said, majority of Edo people are, however, well pleased with the APC National chairman.
Safe Edo Movement is a group of concerned Edo indigenes who have built salient and solid careers as entrepreneurs, technocrats, bureaucrats, Leaders and mentors with a mission to save the state and evolve a safe state.
He said, “Oshiomhole is a leader, who is indisputably the National chairman of APC, who has been elected twice as Governor of Edo state and today occupies a pride of place in the history of the state”.
” You would have thought the progress of our people is our progress. You would have thought Comrade Adams Oshiomhole being the National chairman of APC will be a thing of pride and bring joy to those in authority in Edo. But because by nature some people are wicked they don’t want us to appreciate something that is good”.
In his address earlier, Mr Chris Etuakhor, who is President of the group said the Safe Edo Movement solidarise with Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, the National chairman of the APC adding he can count on their loyalty and support in the struggles of the moment.
He said, “we point on the universal law of engagement in the contest between the negative and positive polarity of the cosmic order. We draw strength and conviction from the universal moral creed that good will and have always triumphed over evil”.
