…APC candidate explains why to People of Ovia Northeast

There was no single farmer in Ovia Northeast local government area who benefited from the N5.6billion Loan for Edo farmers which outgoing Governor Obaseki took from the Central Bank of Nigeria few years ago.

Also there is no citizen of the local government area who claim to have been employed under the 200,000 jobs the Governor promised when he campaigned for office in 2016.

The revelation became public on Friday at the Edo APC campaign rally held on the Ekiadolor location of the College of Education, which the governor closed down in 2019 and has since failed to pay its workers 11months salary arrears.

The Edo APC candidate, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu who addressed supporters and PDP decampees at the rally, where the truth became public however promised to restore Ovia Northeast to its rightful place as the local government council area with the highest number of state constituencies.

To be able to do, he asked the people of the area across its 13 constituencies to vote APC by thumbprinting the symbol of broom on Election day because his opponent in the election, Governor Obaseki does not deserve reelection.

"He (Obaseki) says he is paying workers salaries as and when due but he has refused to pay staff of the College of Education, Ekiadolor, who have been protesting over 11months salaries".

Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu presented the people of the government with his manifesto, the Simple Agenda and explained its contents especially as it relates to the issue of insecurity in the state and job creation, saying he will implement it to the letter when he gets into office.#
