APC governorship candidate, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu has assured the people of Okpe Kingdom in Akoko-Edo LGA of Edo state, that he will construct the major road among others in the community when he is sworn into office as Governor after his

victory in the September 19, 2020 election.

Pastor Ize-Iyamu who gave the assurance at the palace of the Olokpe of Okpe, HRH Oba Okishimede Idogu III, JP on Friday when he paid the King a courtesy visit said He cannot be Edo State governor and forget Okpe,
Pastor Ize-Iyamu had presented copies of his manifesto to the Olokpe saying Okpe, “is a place that has supported me so much in the past. By the grace of God the road which is the major priority of Okpe, will be constructed and other projects developed”.
The Olokpe alongside his wife, the Olori, Chiefs and Elders of the Kingdom had recalled his three decade old friendship with the APC candidate and acknowledged his support for him while he ran for the same office in 2016.
He said, “You know the problem of Okpe. This time around, God willing, when you get there let this road be done before your 100days in office…not three months… because Government can do everything”.
Okpe was one of the stops in the APC candidate’s campaign tour of the Local government which took him to meet with supporters in such wards as Enwan, Igarra, Ayegunle, Ibillo, Ekpedo, Ososo and Dakpala.
At each location, the APC candidate spoke about how he planned to implement his manifesto, the Simple Agenda as he urged the people to vote out the PDP government led by Governor Obaseki because it failed to fulfil the promises he made, since 2016.
He urged them to turn out en masse on September 19, 2020 with their PVCs and vote APC as that is the only way he and his running mate, Mallam Gani Audu can form the next Edo state government that will bring about change in the governance of the state.
That government he said will using the Simple Agenda, build roads, health centres, provide potable water and electricity across communities, and set in motion the process of harnessing the rich mineral resources of the various localities in Akoko-Edo for their development and the state’s economy.#
