Graduates of the University of Benin in Benin City, Southern Nigeria, dating back to 1990 have been given 3-months of grace to collect their certificates or pay to do so.

They have between 15th November 2020 to 15th February 2021 to collect the certificates or thereafter pay the sum of N25,000 to do so.

Mr Chris Ehigiator, the Acting Registrar of the University gave this indication in a notice to all graduates of the University.

The statement said the university was running out of space and was facing the increasing burden of preserving them.

“All graduates of the University who are yet to collect their certificates are to do so forthwith or within three months if this notice without a charge”.

After 15th February 2021, the statement said that those graduated before 2020 will pay N5000, while those who graduated before 2015 will pay N8000.

For those who graduated before 2010, they will pay N12,000 while those who graduated before 2005 will N15,000 and those before 2000 N20,000.
