Comptroller of Immigration iEdo state Command, Mrs Augustina Okuenyungbo says over 6000 e-passports was issued to applicants between July and October.
In all no fewer than 7, 874 applicants have benefitted from various facilities provided by Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Edo Command, between July and October.
In an interview in Benin,
Okuenyungbo disclosed that the service has in addition made available other facilities like
Ecowas Travel Certificate, Residence Cards as well as renewals.
She explained that in July 2, 2002 e-Passport facilities were provided to applicants, while in August 2, 629 were provided.
She said that 976 were provided in September and 2,221 were provided in October.
She also said that one Ecowas Travel Certificate each were issued to applicants in July and August, while non was issued in September and October.
“We issued two Residence Cards in July, non was issued in August, but six were issued in September and one in October.
“Also we had two renewals in July, 11 in August, three in September and seven in October.
“With this the total facilities provided by the command in the months under review were July 2, 007, August 2, 641, September 996 and October 2, 230”, the comptroller said.
