The European Union has agreed to pay $18.34 per dose of the Covid-19 vaccine from the PFizer-BioNtech-CureVac group.

The vaccine candidate has an acclaimed 95 per cent efficacy against the virus after trials.

At this rate, the EU has agreed to pay $4billion for 200million doses in the first largest initial order of the vaccine.

The United States is however paying more at $19.5 per dose of the SME vaccination be but for 100million doses.

Just like the EU which hopes to pay billions of dollars more for additional doses the US is on track to ask for 500million more.

Meanwhile deliveries are expected as early as Marcy of 2021, sources say.
