The Chairman, Caretaker Committee of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Edo state chapter, Col David Imuse rtd felicitates with all Christians on this year’s occasion of Christmas, which marks the birth of Jesus Christ, the Saviour of the world.
Col David Imuse rtd has also appealed to Christians as they celebrate the Christmas to be strict in observing the NCDC Covid19 prevention rules such as wearing of face masks, handwashing and use of sanitisers and maintaining physical distance at all public activities.
Col David Imuse rtd who urged Christians to use the period to reflect on the teaching of Jesus Christ and endeavour to be Christ-like in words, action and character, reminded them of the virtues of Jesus Christ which include love, tolerance, forgiveness and peace.
The Edo APC Caretaker Committee chairman therefore admonished Christians to use the period of Christmas and thereafter to forgive and love their neighbours as themselves and to remember the vulnerable and less-privileged in the society and extend goodwill to them.
He also called on the clergy and their followers to endeavour to pray for the nation’s leaders, so that they would be able to lead the country on the path of peace, progress and development.
While wishing Christians a Merry Christmas, Col David Imuse rtd who prayed to God for a glorious and prosperous New Year, 2021, said Edo is an APC State and that the victory of evil over good is temporary.
