Luck ran out of two thieves today in Edo state, Nigeria as they attempted to rob a female bank agent of her POS machine and cash.
The theives, Andrew Adubu and Destiny Olu, went to the agent located at the entrance of the IDP Camp, in Uhogwa, and requested to withdraw N200, 000 from their account.
But as soon as the female operator inserted their ATM card into the POS terminal, the hoodlums brought out a locally-made pistol and ordered her to give them all her cash and mobile phones.
But the woman instead knocked the threatening gun out of the hand of the wielder, raising an alarm which attracted security stationed inside the IDP camp, who swiftly arrested the suspects.
Upon interrogation, the suspects confessed that they were trying to raise money to take care for their family needs during the Christmas and New Year celebrations.
Items recovered from them include one locally-made pistol, three cartridges and an unregistered motorcycle.
The state police public relations officer, SP Chidi Nwabuzor, who confirmed the incident, called for effective collaboration from members of the public to help reduce crime state.
